Cancellation and Late Payment Policies

Cancellation and late payment policies exist to protect both the therapist’s time and the integrity of the therapeutic process.

Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.

Late Payment Policy
Payment is due on the day of service. A daily late fee will be applied to any balance not paid in full on the day of the appointment.

Why We Have Cancellation and Late Payment Policies 1. Respect for Time Therapists reserve a specific time just for you. When a session is canceled without sufficient notice, that time cannot be offered to another client in need of support. The policy helps ensure that time is used efficiently and respectfully. 2. Consistency and Commitment Therapy is most effective when it occurs regularly. Cancellation policies encourage consistency and accountability, which support progress toward your goals. 3. Financial Sustainability A therapist’s income depends on booked sessions. Late cancellations and missed payments can significantly impact the practice. The policy helps maintain the financial viability of the services provided. 4. Professional Boundaries Clear policies create a structured and predictable relationship, which is essential for safety and trust in the therapeutic space.
